endo

Endo is the latest film from ufo Pictures. The term “endo” is a slang and abbreviation for “end of contract,” or what temp workers call their last day of work until the next job comes along. The film stars Jason Abalos and Ina Feleo, and is directed by Jade Francis Castro. - Official Site

Endo opens February 13, 2008 at the following cinemas:
SM (Megamall, North Edsa, Manila, Southmall, Fairview, Centerpoint), Ayala (Glorietta 4) and Gateway.

Dress + Boots + Stockings

Sunday, February 17th, 2008

is one fashion combination that I love but do not currently have the guts to wear. For one thing, summer is inching closer in our beautiful tropical country, and I just don’t see myself sweating like a pig while travelling to work/home.

boots

I currently have three boots in my possession right now, a black ankle one, dark brown pirate boots, and tan cowboy boots. But I adore what the girl in the photo above is wearing! It’s very wearable, comfortable, casual yet still hip. I also love that the boots are cut wide on the calves. If you’re sick of the usual skinny jeans, heels and shirt combo, then this is the way to go. :)

I’ve always wanted this pair, ankle v-cut boots.

On my wishlist right now:

boots 1

dark brown calf leather boots

boots 2

fold over canvas boots from Urbanoutfitters.com

Make your own Candy Avatars!

Sunday, February 17th, 2008

Finally, it’s up and running! The end of last year found me illustrating a variety of bangs, hair, clothes, backgrounds for Candy.com’s latest project, Make Your Own Candy Avatars. This is probably the biggest project I’ve handled so far as a solo freelance illustrator. I’ve been illustrating for Candy since I’m in college, and I’m happy that I’ve finally gone from magazine to their website. Yay :) I love the Candy girls for they are all very easy to work with. Thanks very much to Macy, Stephie and Mimi :)

I love your sunny, funny face…

I’ve always hated musicals. For some reason I find the singing and dancing all very corny and theatrical. So yes, I’ve never watched Moulin Rouge or Chicago, and even my infatuation with Johnny Depp is not enough to make myself endure his latest film, Sweeney Todd. I was all excited to see Across the Universe, but after a few minutes of hearing musical versions of my favorite Beatles songs, I knew I just had to stop watching. So imagine my complete and utter shock when I fell in love with this movie…

Funny Face

Funny Face 2

Funny Face (1957) is a musical starred by Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire. What I love about the film is its simplicity combined with that old hollywood comedy feel to it. Of course, Ms. Hepburn’s charm and elegance plus Astaire’s excellent timing have made this more enjoyable than what I first thought. The smart costumes, choreography and songs are icing on the cake. :)
