Can’t get this song out of my brain. I keep playing it over and over for the last two days. The perfect “come elope with me” song. Haha.
Urbandub is one of the few local bands I listen to the most (I have all their albums). Their new one, Under Southern Lights is starting to grow on me, though I still like Influence the best.

The ‘Yabang Pinoy” campaign was founded by a group of young, active and nationalistic Filipinos who realized that one of the gravest problems faced by the Philippines today is Filipinos not believing in their nationality and doubting their identity.
The goal of the “Yabang Pinoy” campaign is to unite the Filipino people in believing in themselves and in fellow Filipinos.

US Girls (Studio 23) features Weewilldoodle!
I met up with Jhoan, Nelz, Pao, and Kyx last April 14 at ABS-CBN for the US Girls shoot. A crew van of ABS picked us up and drove us to Espana, Manila where got to doodle on the wall of this guy’s apartment (I think this is part of their makeover series on interiors). Cheska Garcia was already there, reading and practicing her lines, while the rest of the staff were fixing the place and guiding us on how the shoot will go.
The guy is a surfer slash vocalist of a heavy metal band, so we tried to incorporate as much blood and gore in our doodles. But I guess they still came out cartoonish! The guy liked it though. :D
Cheska Garcia doodles with WWD! I was awed of how pretty and skinny she is! Plus, she’s really friendly too. She chatted with us all throughout the doodle session, kept asking questions and shared stories about what she and her two brothers liked to do when they were kids (writing poetry). We found out that Patrick Garcia is the most artistic among them.
This episode will air on April 27, Sunday night on Studio 23 Kabarkada Mo! :)

Weewilldoodle activities for April:
April 13, Sunday - REUTERS interview and shoot. We doodled on Paolo’s living room wall while the Reuters staff captured all of it in video.
April 14, Monday - US Girls (Studio 23) shoot in Espana, Manila. Cheska Garcia interviewed and later joined Weewilldoodle in transforming a blank apartment wall into a goth-cartoony-doodled delight! This will be shown on April 27, Sunday night, at Studio 23.
April 18, Friday - Doodle galore once again at the Manila Fame event at SMX Mall of Asia.
April 19, Saturday - WWD will be at F*art Gallery for their anniversary. And then after, it’s Weewilldoodle versus Team Manila for a patintero match! This is for a Yabang Pinoy event. This ought to be fun! :)
April 26, Saturday - Summer Art Festival at Greenbelt 3 c/o Ayala Museum with INK and Manikako.
Also, Weewilldoodle is featured on this month’s issue of Fudge Magazine together with other local artists Marcus Nada, Manikako, and Ramon of Sputnik. :)

Several tents will be put up within the Cubao Expo Compoundwhere Artist participants will be exhibiting their worksin a no-wall / freestyle manner. Art pieces will be displayed for the day.

Twenty young student designerswill be invited to showcase their fashion+art skillsby having their models walk around Cubao Expo wearing their original designs.

POLAR EXPRESSIONS
The poles that hold up the roofs of Cubao Expo’s walkwayswill be decorated/painted freestyle by participating artists. Paint will be the primary medium. The theme “The Pull of the Moon” will prevail. Period of painting/decorating is from March 28 to April 4,the poles to be finished/ready by April 5.
DRIVEWAY CHALK-ART EXPOSITIONA
select group of Artists will be askedto create several works of impermanent chalk art on the driveway of Cubao Expo.
